Emergency Veterinarian Intern
Dr. Ahrenhoerster is a dedicated Emergency Veterinarian Intern based in our Minneapolis location. She pursued her veterinary education at the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in the class of 2023. Prior to that, she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Wisconsin Madison.
Driven by her desire to help both people and their beloved pets during critical moments, Dr. Ahrenhoerster chose a career in veterinary medicine. She finds veterinary emergency medicine to be a challenging, fascinating, and rewarding field, and she feels grateful to be a part of it.
One of Dr. Ahrenhoerster's favorite aspects of her job is being in a field that is constantly growing, evolving and presenting new learning opportunities. Joining the Allied team has been an exciting prospect for her, as she recognizes the team's expertise and compassion. She is eager to learn from her colleagues and further her professional development within the organization.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Dr. Ahrenhoerster enjoys engaging in various activities. She finds joy in running, hiking, cross-country skiing, and volunteering at local outreach clinics. Dr. Ahrenhoerster and her fiancé share their home with a lionhead bunny named Cheerio, adding a touch of furry companionship to their lives.
Dr. Ahrenhoerster exemplifies a passionate and dedicated veterinarian who embraces the challenges and rewards of emergency medicine. With her love for learning, active lifestyle, and commitment to community service, she is poised to make a positive impact on the lives of both animals and people.
