Dr. Walters obtained her undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, then earned her DVM at the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2023. Driven by her desire to help people and their pets during critical moments, emergency medicine was a good fit for her skills and focus.
Outside of work, Dr. Walters enjoys running, hiking, cross-country skiing, and volunteering at local outreach clinics. She and her husband share their home with a lionhead bunny named Cheerio.
