Emily S.

CVT, CVPM

Practice Manager

Rochester

Emily graduated from RCTC in 2005 with an AAS in Veterinary Technology, earning her certification that fall after passing the boards. What started as a stepping stone on the way to human medicine quickly became her passion. She fell in love with the animals, the connections with clients, and the role veterinary medicine plays in supporting the human-animal bond — and she knew she was right where she belonged.

While working in general practice, Emily developed a passion for leadership and team growth. She attended St. Petersburg College, earning a Veterinary Practice Management Certificate, and became a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) in 2019.

After nearly 20 years in general practice, Emily felt ready to challenge herself in a new way. She joined Allied Emergency in Stewartville/Rochester to learn more about emergency medicine while continuing to grow her management skills in a completely different environment. It has been an exciting opportunity to step outside her comfort zone and discover new ways to support both patients and teams.

In her free time, Emily enjoys scrapbooking, DIY projects, and exploring the outdoors with her family — hiking, canoeing, and camping. She married her high school sweetheart, and they have three wonderful kids, two dogs, a cat, and a fluffy-butt hut full of chickens that keep life interesting!
