Dr. Rothaug has always felt a deep connection with animals and knew from childhood that she wanted to become a veterinarian. Her path to this profession has been a calling, one that she has returned to time and again, even after exploring other fields.
Dr. Rothaug earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in 2018, following her undergraduate studies in biology with a minor in chemistry at Midway College in Kentucky.
As a relief veterinarian, she finds fulfillment in helping her patients improve with treatment and bringing comfort to families during challenging moments. Whether it’s providing relief from pain and suffering, guiding families through difficult decisions, or ensuring a peaceful end for beloved pets, Dr. Rothaug is dedicated to compassionate care.
Outside of work, Dr. Rothaug enjoys baking, gardening, fishing, and relaxing at the lake.
