A summer job as a receptionist at a wildlife hospital sparked Dr. Novack’s passion for helping animals. She earned her undergraduate degree in biology from Augustana College, then received her DVM from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. She says her veterinary school years and internship honed her interest in emergency medicine and she’s never looked back. She loves the variety of cases she sees in the ER and the opportunity to communicate and collaborate with pet parents about their pet’s care.
In her free time, Dr. Novack loves to spend time with her husband and two young children. She enjoys disc golf, board games, and Disney movies.
