Dr. Magsamen grew up taking care of chickens, horses, dogs, pigs and other animals on her family’s hobby farm—and loved it. Her interest in veterinary medicine was solidified when she worked for an emergency practice during her undergraduate studies in biochemistry at the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point. She went on to earn her DVM from the University of Wisconsin College of Veterinary Medicine in 2024. Her favorite part of the job is sharing her knowledge with pet parents and helping them understand how to best help their pet.
A lot of her free time is spent riding her horse Buddy, whom she’s had since she was eight years old. She does barrel racing and pole bending as well as trail riding and camping. She also enjoys reading and spending time with family.
