Dr. Heather Ballard earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Kansas State University in 2004, following an undergraduate education in Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of Arizona. Her lifelong love of animals and passion for science led her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine, a profession she considers the perfect combination of both worlds.
Dr. Ballard finds great fulfillment in her role as an emergency veterinarian, particularly in making accurate diagnoses and helping pets and their families through critical moments. She is dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive care during some of the most challenging times for both animals and their owners.
Outside of work, Dr. Ballard enjoys reading, hiking, strength training, and indulging in delicious food. A science fiction enthusiast, she often spends her downtime exploring the genre through books, shows, and movies.
