Lead Emergency Veterinarian
Dr. Cook is an experienced small animal veterinarian who transitioned to emergency medicine two years ago. With a passion for challenging cases and a love for helping animals and their owners, she serves as a dedicated lead emergency veterinarian in Eau Claire.
Dr. Cook completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the University of Minnesota in 2011. Prior to that, she pursued a dual major in Biology and Chemistry, with a minor in Outdoor Education at Northland College in 2007. This diverse educational background has equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of the scientific aspects of veterinary medicine and a deep appreciation for the outdoors. She thrives in the fast-paced environment and embraces the opportunity to tackle more complex medical and surgical cases. The challenge of providing immediate and critical care to animals while supporting their owners through difficult times drives her passion for emergency medicine.
Outside of her veterinary practice, Dr. Cook enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Jason, and their two daughters. They enjoy camping trips and outdoor adventures, making the most of the surrounding area's natural beauty. They share their home with three dogs, three cats, and a flock of chickens. Dr. Cook also takes pleasure in reading, baking, and gardening during her time away from emergency veterinary medicine.
