Emergency Veterinarian
Dr. Patrick Campbell originates from Orange County, Southern California. His passion for veterinary medicine began at 14 when he started working as a veterinary assistant. Dr. Campbell earned his Bachelor's degree in Animal Science with a minor in Business Administration from Colorado State University. During his undergraduate years, he worked as a non-certified veterinary technician, nurturing his passion for animal care.
He then moved to Minnesota to obtain his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree. While in veterinary school, Dr. Campbell engaged in community medicine, notably serving indigenous communities through the Student Initiative for Reservation Veterinary Services (SIRVS). He also gained critical experience by working in the Emergency and ICU departments as an assistant while attending veterinary school.
Choosing emergency medicine for its variety and work-life balance, Dr. Campbell's favorite cases involve gastrointestinal issues, dentistry, and palliative care. He especially values the connections and bonds formed with his veterinary colleagues.
Dr. Campbell lives with his partner, Collin, and their corgi, Wesley, in the metro area. They enjoy hiking, running, frequenting their bouldering gym, and are passionate foodies who often plan vacations around culinary experiences. Dr. Campbell also loves reading and baking French pastries, and had considered culinary school if veterinary school hadn't been an option.
Dr. Campbell's journey from a young assistant to an emergency veterinarian is marked by dedication, compassion, and a love for both animals and people.
