Responsibilities:

  • Professionally interact with clients and teammates, conveying information effectively.
  • Perform treatments, procedures, and diagnostics as directed by veterinarians.
  • Efficiently hospitalize patients, including necessary treatments, fluids, medications, and charges.
  • Conduct patient assessments, obtain patient histories, and collect diagnostic specimens.
  • Utilize in-clinic machines for various tests and perform microscopic evaluations.
  • Effectively restrain patients for exams and procedures.
  • Manage patients in all phases of sedation and anesthesia, including drug administration and monitoring.
  • Produce diagnostic radiographic images and adhere to radiation safety measures.
  • Assist with the supervision of technician interns and advanced Assistants.
  • Contribute to hospital maintenance, cleaning, and stocking when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) credential and/or completion of degree from an accredited veterinary technology program.
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency in veterinary nursing skills.
  • Understanding of veterinary medical procedures and equipment.
  • Proficiency in anesthesia, radiography, diagnostic procedures, and laboratory tests.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to patient care and high-quality service.
