Responsibilities:
- Professionally interact with clients and teammates, conveying information effectively.
- Perform treatments, procedures, and diagnostics as directed by veterinarians.
- Efficiently hospitalize patients, including necessary treatments, fluids, medications, and charges.
- Conduct patient assessments, obtain patient histories, and collect diagnostic specimens.
- Utilize in-clinic machines for various tests and perform microscopic evaluations.
- Effectively restrain patients for exams and procedures.
- Manage patients in all phases of sedation and anesthesia, including drug administration and monitoring.
- Produce diagnostic radiographic images and adhere to radiation safety measures.
- Assist with the supervision of technician interns and advanced Assistants.
- Contribute to hospital maintenance, cleaning, and stocking when necessary.
Requirements:
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) credential and/or completion of degree from an accredited veterinary technology program.
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency in veterinary nursing skills.
- Understanding of veterinary medical procedures and equipment.
- Proficiency in anesthesia, radiography, diagnostic procedures, and laboratory tests.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to patient care and high-quality service.
