Emergency Veterinarian

Dr. Gordon is a veterinarian who has had a diverse and interesting background. Born and raised in New York City, she developed a passion for animals at a young age. She attended Macalester College, which introduced her to the Twin Cities. Afterward, she pursued her veterinary education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine.
Following her graduation, Dr. Gordon practiced Emergency and Primary care in Brooklyn, New York from 2002 to 2008. In 2008, she returned to Minneapolis and resumed her practice of Emergency and Primary care in the greater Twin Cities area. She had the privilege of working with several exceptional practices during this time. In 2022, she made the decision to join Allied full-time.

Dr. Gordon finds the ER particularly fascinating due to the diversity of cases she encounters. She appreciates the opportunity to witness and support the human-animal bond and derives great satisfaction from being able to immediately see the impact of her work on animals. While she has a specific interest in toxicities, complicated internal medicine cases, and trauma, she genuinely enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Gordon has a fulfilling personal life. She resides in Southwest Minneapolis with her daughter, one small dog, one big dog, and a cat. She is an avid marathon runner and has a goal to run a marathon on every continent, with only four continents left to conquer! In addition to running, Dr. Gordon finds joy in activities such as reading, writing, hiking, and traveling, which further complement her adventurous spirit.
